Langtang Valley Trek is a beautiful and scenic journey in the Central Himalayas, located just 32 km north of Kathmandu. It’s an ideal adventure for travelers with limited time, as the trek can be completed in about a week and is suitable for all fitness levels.
This short and relatively easy trek offers breathtaking mountain views, stunning glaciers, and peaceful trails through forests and villages. Unlike other high-altitude treks, Langtang doesn’t require prior trekking experience or technical training. Your 8-day journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. From there, the trail winds through terraced hillsides, charming villages, and lush forests before opening up to the wide and spectacular Langtang Valley.
As you ascend into the Kyanjin Valley, you’ll be surrounded by snow-covered peaks. The trail leads to Kyanjin Gompa (3,800m), where you can hike up to Kyanjin Ri (4,700m) for a 360° panoramic view of the Himalayas. You’ll also visit the famous yak cheese factory and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this remote region.
Enjoy views of the Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Jugal Himal ranges throughout the trek. After an unforgettable experience, you’ll return to Kathmandu with the support of our experienced guides and staff.

Best Time to Trek Langtang
Langtang is a year-round trekking destination, but the best seasons are: janurary to June and September to December.
During these seasons, temperatures range from 10–15°C, making the trek comfortable and enjoyable. Spring brings colorful wildflowers, while autumn offers crystal-clear views of the Himalayas. These are also the busiest times, so you’ll meet fellow trekkers along the way. If you prefer solitude, winter and summer treks are also possible with proper gear and preparation.
